The Amazon... Why Did Mother Earth Give So Much Power To This River? And That Is Because this Monstrous River is The Mother Of All Rivers, and along with Mother Earth, she works tireless to become a True Giver Of Life. And because she creates so much and give so much, The Amazon could never die, for she perpetuates herself by merging with The Atlantic Ocean through the great cycle of all living beings, and of renewing one 's self. And so she goes on to run through as the greatest river in the world, unchained and with no equal (Except maybe The Nile River), and when she tires, she allows herself to sleep through a season or two.

The length of the Amazon River is approximately 6400 kilometres (4000 miles), and that would take you approximately 60 hours or 2 1/2 days of driving your car at 60 MPH, just to go along the length of this Great River
The Amazon... Why Did Mother Earth Give So Much Power To This River? Because she had to, since The Amazon River is the world's second longest river. Only the Nile, in Africa, is longer. The Amazon
however, at any one point in time has the highest amount of water flowing down
it. No other river even comes close to such great amount of life giving waters. It may not be the longest, but it is the
widest, and the most fearsome, also it is still the most amazing source of fresh water that you can imagine
During the wet season, the Amazon River can reach over 190 kilometres (120 miles) in width, and some have reported that it can grow as wide as 200 miles when it overflows.
Due to the vast amount of water as well as sediment that are deposited where the Amazon River meets the Atlantic Ocean, the color and salinity of the Atlantic Ocean are modified for nearly 200 miles (320 km) from the delta. Now That, is Power.
And for as much as Human Ingenuity go, it can not conquer The Amazon on foot, as There are no bridges that cross the Amazon, mostly because there is no need to, since the majority of the Amazon River runs through rain forests rather than roads or cities.
Also, the next time you go to your City Lakes and Rivers and you are amazed at just how big they are, then I beg of you not to. Because The Amazon River carries more water than any other river in the world. In fact, the Amazon River is responsible for about one-fifth (twenty percent) of the fresh water that flows into the world's oceans.
The largest city along the Amazon River is Manaus. Located in Brazil it is home to over 1.7 million people, and so you can imagine just how blessed and fertile these people lives are, if they know how to work hand in hand with Mother Nature.
And when it come to this monstrous river, you have to stand back and be amazed, since There are over 3000 known species of fish that live in the Amazon River, with more constantly being discovered daily. And you know that Life always conceals her children away from prying eyes, and only reveal them on a Need To Know Basis.
The Amazon has so much power, because it also must be able to contain Anacondas that lurk in the shallow waters of the Amazon Basin. They are one of the largest snakes in the world and occasionally attack larger animals such as goats that get to close the water, and you know that they too must eat. And so another gift from The Amazon
The Amazon... Why Did Mother Earth Give So Much Power To This River. Well that is because The Amazon River is also home to the piranha, a meat eating type of fish! Being carnivores, piranhas are known to attack in groups, preying on livestock that strays into the water. And you already know that in Nature, all life must be balanced, and so don't feel sorry for animals that have to die by one mean or another
And so The Amazon leaves You amazed, speechless, and fearful if You were to happen to fall inside her. Also you have no choice but to Thank God for having thought of and created this monstrous being, as well You thank Mother Earth for sustaining her child The Amazon, and for empowering her to do all these wondrous things.
