The Mango Tree... Is a giver of beautiful fruit mangoes, and I particularly enjoy all the different tastes and styles it delivers to my mouth. Also I can even remember as a child, getting up at around 4 AM during summer time, and heading straight for the mango tree down by the river. And once there, me and my friends await for the gentle breeze that usually comes along right about that time. And without fail, the breeze will gently shake the mango tree, and all the ripe mangoes will simply fall off. And all I had to do, was used my basket and start the collection process. Oh What A Time That Was Every Summer!.. And then only to go back home with my prize feeling like a King who has many riches, and all I had to do for the rest of the day is decide which one of these succulent fruits I would begin to peel off. And Enjoy Fully...
But why is the mango tree's fruit so delicious?... Maybe it is because it is one the most nutritional fruit around, and ever since it originated in The Sub-Himalayan plains of the Indian subcontinent, and then trickled it's way all the way down to the Islands of the Western Hemisphere, it has been the favorite of all Inhabitants of the world. Also the mango is so delicious, because it is a rich fruit with unique flavor, fragrance, taste, and heath promoting qualities that makes it part of the Elite Super Fruits.
The Mango Tree usually delivers it's Mango fruit at the end of a long, string like stem, which sometimes has more than one fruit to a stem. And it is rich in Pre -biotic dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, and poly-phenolic flavonoid antioxidant compounds. And the mango tree must have warm, dry weather to bear fruits, and Tropical Weather Places are the best locations for this miracle food to grow, and not be ruined. Since it can not face weather below 40 degrees, and must have all the right accolades of humidity, warm air, and rain to grow into a juicy ripe fruit.
The Mango fruit is an excellent source of Vitamin-A, and beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, and beta – Cryptoxanthin. As well, when you have 100 g of this wonderful juicy fruit, it provides 765 mg or 25% of recommended daily levels of vitamin A. And when you devour the mango tree's fruit with all its many compounds, then you have what are known as antioxidant properties, and are essential for vision. And from the mango fruit, you have Vitamin A which is also required for maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin. And eating a couple of mango fruits per day will provide you with vitamins rich in carotene, and that is known to protect body from lung and oral cavity cancers.
And the mango fruit will be most delicious if you just wash it first thoroughly, and then use a knife to peel off the skins, which you can place in a blender and add some milk, and that will give you a source of Cancer fighting ingredients to drink. Then you can eat the inside, which is always juicy as you chew on it, until you arrive at the core. And once there you would proceed to chew around it softly, without penetrating the inner core because there is a nice size seed in there, which you should plant in your backyard. Then water it for 2 weeks or so straight, then you will see a little tree begin to come out of the ground, if you live in warm weather that is. So as you can see, you can enjoy the mangoes in many ways, and still reuse it to plant another mango tree. Enjoy... James Dazouloute,PhD
